Can lilac re-root in water, along with a rooted weeping willow cutting?
My boss allowed me to take cuttings off of the lilac shrub outside our office, and I was wondering if I can re-root them in the same cup with my weeping willow cutting. I have ordered hormone, but it wont get here until Monday(hopefully). If they can stay alive until then, I would love to try any necessary steps to re-root these cuttings.
They all are 6 or more inches long, and have plenty of leaves on them.

lilacs are very easy to root, i just break them off and stick them in the ground in ordinary soil and keep watered.
yours should do fine in water too, along with other cuttings.
rooting powder should help but i've found they root easily without.
