How to age a Western stoneware Monmouth Ill jug?
I have a old jug. It is a 1 Western Stoneware Monmouth ILL.with a maple leaf on it. Wondering how old it really is and what its value is?
I am familiar with the company because of local ties and I have a piece from there myself. I do know that they are still made today. However, I don't have an exact answer for you because I can't see the jug and I don't know what kind of value it would have. Here is a little bit of history about the company.

Apparently, it can't be older than 1890 because that's when the company started. You could probably contact them.
