Where do I find a replacement ceramic tile soap dish for a 50's bathroom?
The ceramic soap dish in my shower fell out and broke. The only ones I can find at Home Depot and other stores have a very thin inset so they can't reach the existing wall. I'm guessing this is because they don't use the same type of tile as they did when my house was built. Is there any where to find this? Or are there any good suggestions on how to fill in the gap between wall and the new thinner soap dish?
what is the thickness of the current hole,in other words,put a tape measurer in the hole and what is the depth to the edge of the tile???you could use liquid nail to glue in a piece of drywall, then glue the soap dish onto the drywall,the drywall is available in several thickness, get one that equal what you need...email me for more details
