How to Fix Blue Screen Errors
Blue screen errors, otherwise known as the "blue screen of death" are huge problems for millions of computer users around the globe. Not only do these errors just start your PC, making you lose work and unsaved games, but they can appear at any time; randomly stopping your computer from working. Fortunately, there are several ways to fix these errors for good.
The reason why these errors appear is because of what is known as "fatal errors" (that's why this type of errors is often referred to as the blue screen of death). These are errors which are so severe that Windows has no choice but to restart to prevent any lasting damage to your PC. Think of them as an ejector seat - or panic button - that your computer uses to escape any potentially damaging errors. The blue screen error does not harm your PC but it is highly frustrating. Luckily, fixing it is quite easy...
The first thing you need to do is to notice when the blue screen error appears. This is what will determine how you fix it, because it will reveal what problem is causing the error.
Step 1 - Programs That Cause The Blue Screen Error - Most computers get this error when you are using a specific program. This is a common problem because computer programs are so complex that they can easily develop errors which are so bad that Windows has no choice but to show the blue screen error. To fix this problem, you need to note which program is causing the error and then reinstall that program. This is done by clicking on Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove programs and then uninstalling the program. You should then download it again or reinstall it off the original installation CD.
Step 2 - Random Blue Screens Of Death - Many computers show random blue screen errors which seem to bare no correlation or pattern. If you're seeing this, then it's likely caused by Windows itself, and more specifically - a part of Windows called the 'registry'. The registry is a storage database which keeps all the settings for Windows & other software on your computer. Every time you use your computer, it's forever opening 100's of registry files to help it run, and this can lead to the blue screen error.
The problem that many computers have is that the registry database holds settings which are either damaged or corrupt. These settings tend to become corrupt when Windows is unable to process them correctly, leading it to save many of the files in the wrong way. Typical Windows computers have 100's of corrupt registry files, and the problem is that whenever you use them, your system has to spend time looking for them. If you use a program that needs a particular setting... and that setting is not able to be found, then Windows has no choice but to show the blue screen error and restart your PC. That's why this problem is random for many people. To fix it, you just need to get all the settings and options inside the registry into the right order... and that can be done with a tool called a "registry cleaner".
To fix the blue error, it's important to first note when the error shows. If it comes from a particular program, reinstall that program. But if it comes randomly, then it's probably an issue that's inside the 'registry' of Windows... And the cure for that is to download a registry cleaner tool, and let it remove all the errors that might be on there.
You can Stop The Blue Screen Error by repairing the problems that are causing it. You can do this by reinstalling any damaged programs and then using a registry cleaner download to fix the issue.
