mother duck dead, took the eggs. URGENT!?
this fox or something got into a nest in my backyard. in the mornig, the mother was dead and there were 4 EGGS. SO, I TOOK THEM. ANYWASE, NOW I HAVE A LAMP ON TOP OF THEM (A bald light) and i have them in a porcelain bowl with a wet facecloth on top. i candled them and i saw some lines and a little black blob in them. the have little air sac thing at the top, too. when do they hatch, where do you find an incubator, what do i do???
eggs are really hard to incubate. you need the right temperature (and it can change)... you need to turn them the right way and amount, if at all...
the temp needs to be exact, 1 or 2 degrees different means dead eggs. humidity also needs to be correct.
dont put a wet facecloth directly on them - they will suffocate.
call your local animal rescue and give the eggs to them if they know how to look after them (and ask if they do, a lot dont have the resources).
if they cant, you can try yorself, but its highly unlikely they will survive. look up how to raise duck eggs and incubation online.
