If a the first baseman tags a runner after a runner crosses, the plate, does the run count?
If the bases are loaded, and the batter hits a ground ball to first base, the first baseman picks it up in the baseline and can either tag the runner out or touch the bag.
If the runner from third scores before the first baseman TAGS the runner on his way to first base, does the run count? Keep in mind that this is not a force play.
Please provide an example. Or point to the rule that shows it.
if there was two outs no. since it was a force play. but if there was a tag play with 2 outs. its called a "time play" if the runner gets tag before running reaches plate he out run does not count.
Now if the tag is after the runner on a tag play not a force, the run scores and the out comes
