Five Great Paint Color Trends
Adding a new coat of paint in a fresh new color is one of the easiest ways to transform any room in your home. If you are bored of beige and want to go beyond white here are five hot paint colors that are very much in vogue right now. Is one of them right for you?
Deep Pink
Want to liven up a boring bathroom with a color that is a little out of the ordinary? If all your bathroom fixtures are white and the feeling in the room is "blah", liven it up with a deep dark pink.
Turquoise
Turquoise shades are striking and yet strangely soothing at the same time. Shades of this watery hue work especially well in studies and home offices, where the idea is to stay focused without dozing off or becoming too stressed out.
Coral
Want to add a little tropical flair to a room without making it look too cheesy? Coral shades are a great way to achieve the look. Coral is warm and relaxing without being overpoweringly candy colored.
Yellow

Taking Good Care and Storage Tips for your Oil Painting
Oil painting like any other piece of art is so valuable. Having one genuine oil painting for display at home or in the office is a big thing that for some it will cause for a celebration. It may be an old oil painting or a brand new oil portrait but after unwrapping it you will realized that it is just not an ordinary portrait that you will hang in the wall.
Special considerations regarding taking good care of oil portraits are given to oil paintings which are not mounted behind glass well aside from those in museums that is help for preservation purposes. Below are guidelines for you on how to take care your valuable oil painting for preservation for family heirloom. These also are tips for you to avoid committing mistakes in handling your oil portrait.
What is nice about oil painting is it is a durable sturdy and long lasting art form. When oil painting is handled with proper care then it will last for generations.
In handling your oil painting, always remember to handle or carry it by the frame without touching the painting surface so be careful never touch the painted surface of your oil painting because it can cause unwanted marks or worst scratches and the details of the portrait might be deformed.
Do not allow anything to press either the back or most especially the front of your oil painting canvas because they may cause damaged like a dent or a hole. If accidents happen never treat the oil painting yourself if you are not an expert. The best thing to do is to bring it to an expert to repair the damage. Amateur repair works fine but it does not last long.
Place cardboards or plywood on both front and back when being temporarily stored or when transporting an oil painting on canvas. The cardboard must be a bit larger than the outside dimensions of the framed oil painting. Bubble wrap is to be used and taped or tie firmly.
For permanent storage it must be in a customized plywood container with a painting braced so that air can flow on all sides without shifting.
Extreme heat, cold and humidity are a big NO for oil painting so never exposed your oil canvas in such weather conditions. Basements and attics has never been a good storage area for oils paintings neither. The only best place to store your oil portrait is in the wall for everybody to appreciate.
A very old dirty oil painting should be brought to an expert restorer and to avoid this, it is recommended that you occasionally dust your oil paint with a clean, soft bristled brush.

What color would you get if you mixed a dusty rose colored paint with a Tan colored paint?
I'm not expecting a 100% positive answer just some opinions and guesses would be nice
Well names don't mean much. But I'd say you would end up with a "light terra cotta" or perhaps a "bisque" or "French taupe." 
Dusty rose probably has a light base with some red and maybe a bit of blue in it. Tan would also be a light base with brown. Light base would have a significant amount of white in it to make pastel or lighter tint colors. So, lots of white, some red, a pinch of blue and a pinch of brown.
From there, it all depends upon proportions of each. Two real ways to find out.
1) Do a test mix and let it dry.
2) Take it to a real paint store (not a big box where all they do is read numbers) and ask Mike or Steve behind the paint mixing counter. Particularly if you have the pigment formula. Be aware though, that different stores may have different assortments of UTC (universal tinting colors) and may not be able to predict if it's outside their palette of colors. Real paint stores will have wood floors. Support your local entrepreneur.
