t & v Limoges France vase... How do i find out more?
My great grandmother had this vase. It is a blueish color with roses and signed Agnes Stamper '08. This would have to be 1908 or earlier. Any one that could help me find more info on this I would really appriciate it.
Your best bet is to check with a local antique dealer. They can either tell you info about your piece or direct you where to go for more information. An Art appraiser may also be able to help you, though they probably will charge a fee.
You can also check ebay for similar pieces, run a search for Limoges France vase & you can see results for different types, you can compare yours with theirs & see what information they supply about their pieces. It helps sometimes. You can also check out or buy a book that lists many different antique's & find out more by the markings on the bottom of it. I found something I have in one of these books & learned a lot about it.
