Does anyone know who the figures on this Wedgwood jasperware square box are?

If you look under the picture it says it is a "Aesculapium scene" Asclepiius was the Greek god of healing.See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asclepius There is a photo of a sculpture of him at this link with his attribute a rod and serpent. I can't see close enough to see if this attribute is included in the scene shown on the box. I would be interested to know.
