Does anyone have any information on Ironstone Plates, with Shakespeare's Sonnet on it,and the code R2815?
They were made in England by Kensington.There is also a Roman Numeral on it. XCV11
1960s Kensington Collector’s Plate – Shakespeare’s Sonnets - R2815
This is a very desirable collector’s plate in ironstone, (showing a winter scene and inscribed “Shakespeare’s Sonnets : Ann Hathaway’s Cottage” in a circles and flower head pattern with a diameter of 25.5cm. It is believed to be at least 40 years old making it 1960s. In mint condition without chips or cracks it would retail at about £12-50. You could expect to sell it to a dealer for about a third to half of that figure. Say between £3 and £6.
