Kiss Italian Grandma's Hand on Christmas?
My mom always tells us that when she was a little kid growing up in the 1950s, every Christmas, she and her brothers and sisters would go over to her Italian grandparents' house and they had to kneel before them and kiss Grandma's hand. Could anybody tell me about this tradition? Was this common among Italians and Italian immigrants in the early 20th century?
sounds , beautiful, may just be out of respect for the elders,we do this for grandparents, and parents, as , respect, kiss hand , kiss forehead.
