If I stick my bowl gold fish in my pond, will they grow any bigger?
they are only about 2 inches.
Goldfish needs large, spacious area to swim and for their growth. It will also increase their lifespan. In large pond or lakes, goldfish may exceed 40 cm (approximately 16 inch) easily. In tanks they seldom grow longer than 20 cm. A robust specimen in large pond may live for 15 to 20 years or even more. If they are kept in a small goldfish bowl however, they are doomed to a short life.
Goldfish may tolerate in a wide temperature range - 2 to 25 degrees Celsius (35.6 to 77 Fahrenheit). But they tend to do very well in 17 to 21 degrees Celsius range (62.6 to 69.8 degrees Fahrenheit).
It is a bonus to keep them in pond as they are relatively easier to breed them in the pond compare to in the tanks.
