This is so depressing isn't it?
Whenever i step into somebody's house and its painted entirely of cream and brown, "neutrals!", no colour, no mess, no ornaments, no cd/dvds/books on display, nobody is allowed to put their feet on the sofa, nobody can put their mug down without a coaster, nobody can drink in the living room, bloody cushions everywhere........... what is the point?! Its so boring and depressing, like the personality is zapped out of it

The missus insists on it. The children are only allowed their toys in their rooms, no food or drinks in any room other than the kitchen or dining room. The TV is banished to the study (I must admit to quite liking this bit) I'm only allowed to leave books in the bedroom.....I could go on.
I have said to her numerous times - it's a home not a bl**dy showhouse, does she listen - No.
