Fiesta Whets Consumers' APPetites
The 2011 Ford Fiesta is shaping up to be one of the most tech-savvy vehicles in its class. With its SYNC-based cabin technologies, voice command function and integration with iOS devices, it's set to be impressively advanced. It's no surprise, then, that Ford decided to complement its release with the creation of a Fiesta App, launched for the iPad. The debut app is an interactive sales brochure that brings the features of the Ford Fiesta to iPad users, with in depth information not typically found in a dealer brochure.
Thomais Zaremba, Ford car marketing communications manager said, "Fiesta target consumers are heavily digitally inclined and often lead the way with new technology adoption. The Fiesta App gives these customers the information they want, in a format they expect. It's another way for us to reach out to customers in the digital and social media space."
The app has been purpose built to deliver information in a way that suits the iPad interface. Not only is it interactive, but also educational, enabling the sharing of informative videos which demonstrate the car's features. The app also gives details of how the Fiesta's class-leading fuel economy is achieved.
Additional information includes safety details and information on Ford's latest SYNC technology, as well as a list of accessories so customers can plan how they're going to personalise their Fiesta.
