UK. Ford fiesta hand brake light on whilst driving??
I've got a S reg 1.8 diesel ford fiesta.
The last 2 days i have noticed the hand brake light flash on while i'm driving but the handbrake is down!!could it be faulty wires?? or something else??
want some opinions or experience of this before i take it to a garage and they try to tell me all my electrics have gone or something to rip me off!!!

At the base of the hand brake lever is a contact switch. Most of these are adjustable and are designed to make contact when the lever is pulled and pressure is off the switch. I have also seen where spilled beverages have corroded the electrical connection causing the light to come on.
There is only one switch for that light, so it shouldn't be to expensive.
