Is it illegal to display P plates when your not on probation?
also is it illegal to display more than 2 plates???,.
i live in australia and we have to display for the first 2 years
It's not a criminal offence to display P plates on a car if the driver isn't a P plater, but it IS ticketable. On the flipside, It IS illegal for a P plater to drive without plates up, in every state except SA where the rules are a little different.
If you're a P plater, you can display as many as you want, as long as they don't "obstruct the everyday operation of the vehicle". That means not in the windsheild in front of the driver, or covering plates, etc.
