Where to sign a photo as the artist when individually sold?
I'm going to be selling some individual photos at some local stores and some are matted but majority is not. I am thinking of putting a label with a short artist bio on the back and a photo. But I have also seen some photographers that sign a front corner - would this be appropiate in the situation or just sign the label on the back, or do some 'special edition' signed on the front and others just on the back.
All opinions appreciated - thank you.
If you go to a photo gallery you will see various ways of signing their photos. I have seen Cibachromes signed by the artist using acrylic paints. However, most are signed on the matte under the actual image in pencil or ink with the date and if a limited edition the number of the print.
