** Can anyone direct me to a site about antique china?
I have recently acquired some beautiful Haviland china that has been in our family for at least a century. I'd like to know how much these pieces are worth for insurance reasons. I've looked on e-bay to see how much people are selling pieces for and I can't find anything that comes close to the pattern of my plates.
There is the Haviland mark on the back: "Haviland, France" and then a notation that it was made for the "Van Heusen Charles Co." The shape of the plates is the style known as "Ranson" and, from what I've read online so far, different customers would ask for a specific design to be painted on the china.
If anyone could direct me to a site or to a book that I research this in, I'd be very appreciative.

How much you think my china set is worth by Johann Haviland?
I just got a huge china set from my grandmother and its by Johann Haviland Bavaria Germany and its all in great condition. It looks like an antique so I was wondering if it is, what year it was made and if its worth anything. The pattern is called Silver Wheat.
