The Peter Conover albums FALCON and METAMOPRHIC were professionally recorded, mixed and mastered at Audio for the Arts in Madison, Wisconsin and were reproduced on compact disc by Oasis CD and Cassette Duplication in Flint Hill, Virginia. These are not “homemade” albums slapped together by some guy with a four track and “burned” to disc on a home computer. These CDs were manufactured to meet music industry standards, and the playback quality matches that of any compact disc released by any artist on the commmercial market.

Due to popular demand, Peter Conover has made arrangements through his distribution partner CD Baby to make hiss songs available for digital download via several Internet music services. Unlike some services which have sought in the past to circumvent copyright law and avoid royalty payments by making music available through “free” file sharing schemes, these Internet services are licensed providers which charge a fee for each download and compensate the artists and/or publishers for each sale.

Digital downloading allows the listener to store and play back a wide variety of music from both popular and independent artists without the need to purchase compact discs or cassettes, and many listeners find this to be a more convenient way to listen to their favorite artist’s music. However, it should be noted that the potential exists for a negligible loss of sound quality in a downloaded music file due to the processes of file compression, file propagation, and other technical factors.
